Is anyone in the NYC area going to the Mt Eerie show tonight? Does anyone want to go??

I wish I could write that last post verbatim as a discussion board post for my class.

My day started with me rushing to finish a cigarette before the bus came. About an hour and two trains later, I’m in Williamsburg. I got to the venue around 9:50 and I decided to smoke another cigarette to pass some time. My “boss” then passes by and asks me what I’m listening to on my headphones. I told him “Baby Blue Sedan” by Modest Mouse and that they were one of my all-time favorite bands. He said “same here” and that’s when I realized that this is the first job I’ve ever had that didn’t make me want to kill myself on a daily basis.

And I’m not even getting paid. Go figure.

OK, so for about a month now, I’ve been interning at the Glasslands in Williamsburg, which is a music venue in a converted warehouse. I’m getting credit for said internship through my school, so that I can finally graduate. However, in order to receive the credits, I need to take the online internship class, which includes discussion board posts every week, a paper, a portfolio project, and reviews from my supervisor halfway through my time here and at the end. It’s all a big pain in my ass and I really don’t like doing any of it (the school part, that is). This week, the discussion board post is to write the mission statement of the company you’re interning for and talk about how your tasks are in line with it. Well, the Glasslands don’t really have a mission statement. The closest thing I can find is

"In South Williamsburg since 2006, Glasslands is a converted warehouse, formerly a homegrown community art space turned psychedelic venue partyhaus. Bring your friend, see the bands, try our beer, make out in the photobooth."

I think that’s fantastic, but I don’t think my professor will appreciate that. What do I do? EDIT: I found a mission statement
